Poor Kathleen had it kinda rough before coming to Stray Rescue. She was found under a dilapidated porch with her tiny babies. She was so scared. It took us several hours and lots of chicken livers before she went into our humane trap. Once inside the trap it was time to get the puppies. That in itself was quite an ordeal. But well worth it. All Kathleen's puppies have been adopted but she had to wait. She was still too scared of people to go to a home. Although she's still shy, she is slowly but surely making progress.

She is now in a foster home with other well socialized dogs and she is very quickly learning from them how to be a house dog.  She is starting to take treats from her foster parents and is learning that it is good to curl up on the "dog" chair.  She follows her foster sisters and brother out into her foster's fenced yard and after taking care of business, she comes back into the house and curls up onto her bed.  She is getting better about walking on a leash, and coming to her foster parents when they call her.

She still needs a home with a lot of patience and love and at least one other well adjusted dog to help her continue her progress.  If you would like to meet Kathleen please fill out one of the online applications and we'll be in touch.
**Please note that Kathleen is in a foster home and not at our shelter**
