Laika

Laika's picture is just too adorable.  How can you resist the sweet turn of the head that shows off so wonderfully the brown spot over her eye.  Laika is a beauty.

Laika is a little shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly.  She adores her walks and her walkers.  At some point in her walk she will find some tall grass to roll in, then she does the Army crawl on her belly for about ten feet, and finally she ends up running in circles at the end of her leash.  Clearly Laika is her own woman.

She recently had the chance to go on a five mile hike.  She was a great car rider, being content to sit in the back seat and watch everyone go by.  At the hike she ignored the other dogs and just wanted to get moving.  She couldn't find any tall grass to roll in, but she did manage to lie on her belly in a thick, cool layer of damp leaves.  Laika thought that was the best part of the hike.

At 40 pounds, Laika is the perfect size for any home.  Wouldn't you love to have an adorable, somewhat goofy young lady living with you?  Laika certainly hopes so.
