Adoption Status: Available for adoption
Meet Long Johns! He is a loyal, energetic, lovable goofball who will greet you with enthusiasm and will gladly join you on walks and car rides. He is house-trained and gets along great with other dogs and cats.
Long Johns gets along great with canine friends, but I think he would need to meet any future brothers or sisters before an adoption. Cats are no bother to him and he pays no attention to them. Because he is skittish around abrupt movements, he would do best in a home without children. He has some trust issues with steps, and will not let you lead him down or up steps that he is not comfortable with. He takes longer than average to trust new humans, but everyone who he is around long enough to thoroughly smell and recognize he has nothing but smiles to offer.
Long Johns needs a home that understands that his past life shaped her present fears. If you are a person with a kind and patient heart who believes in second chances and embracing a dog’s whole self, please submit an application
PLEASE NOTE THAT LONG JOHNS IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
