If you read the Stray Rescue web site, you have seen Swit's story. She and another dog were chained to a house and left behind when their owners were evicted from their home. The dogs had been poorly fed before the eviction and were dying from starvation. The other dog didn't survive, but Swit came to the shelter in time to be nurtured back to health. Look at the beautiful girl in her picture. Swit has come a long way.
Swit is a friendly dog who is enjoying a social life. She loves car rides, especially day trips into the country. In town she has taken trips out in public and to pet stores where she showed off her very best manners. Swit is housebroken and crate trained. In fact she likes to fluff her blanket in the crate to get it just right. Swit is learning basic commands such as "sit," and has quickly picked up the art of playing with toys. She is especially fond of tug of war and fetch. While she enjoys her walks, Swit is still working on her leash training. But she is a smart girl who catches on quickly. And best of all, she loves to kiss.
Swit so deserves her second chance at a good life. Please meet her and discover that there is no way you can walk past those beautiful eyes without totally falling in love. Swit is looking for that special person, and she hopes it will be you.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SWIT IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
