	This beautiful girl is Apple. She was found scrounging for food outside a local grocery store. She was smart enough to know that's where the food was. Some of the nice customers stopped and gave her a bite to eat. Most either ignored her or kicked her away. When we pulled up Apple immediately came over to our car for a hand out. When she got into the shelter, she was on the thin side but in pretty good shape otherwise. Now she has put on some weight and looks really good. She is already spayed, micro chipped and up to date on shots. She is house trained and walks pretty well on a leash. She is good with older grade school age kids. She loves to play with the other dogs at her foster home. She wants to play with the cats too, but when they run from her, she does chase them. A laid back cat that doesn't run from her would be fine, as she is sort of scared of the ones that actually don't run from her. She knows basic commands such as Sit, Down, and No. She is also pretty good at Stay, Come & Easy. To get a treat, she will sit up on her back two legs and beg. She is energetic & loves to play fetch with her stuffed toys and her rope, but will also curl up on a blanket and quietly enjoy hanging out with you. She is crate trained and goes right in when you say "Crate time". She is not destructive and only barks when she hears noises outside. She really is a well-behaved dog who is patiently waiting for her Forever Family. Apple is available for our Rent-A-Pet program. Just fill out one of our applications and her foster will give you a call. You can meet her at an event or they will bring her to your home.
