Huckleberry

	Size:	35 lbs.
	This little guy is Huckleberry. He is mistaken for a puppy because of his size but he is actually full grown. He was found with his girlfriend Hildi during a January cold snap. Both dogs were just shivering by the side of the road and both seemed to have leg injuries. They welcomed the warmth of our awaiting car. They were taken to our vet to be checked out and have their legs x-rayed, fortunately Huckleberry did not appear to have had a leg fracture. Now in a foster home and with a little rest and relaxation he is now as good an new. Huckleberry is a very outgoing boy. He loves playing with his squeaky toys and curling up on the bed. He is getting use to riding in the car, but prefers the front seat. Huckleberry gets along with other dogs, but he can be a bit much for older and smaller dogs--he just wants to play, play, play and does not understand that some older dogs just don't want to play as much. We haven't really seen him around cats. He would love a Forever Home where he knows he'll never be left out in the cold again. He'd also like some kids and another young playful dog to play with, too. He is now housebroken and we are working on crate training, but he does not like being left in the crate when the door is closed, so we are working on this with him. Otherwise he would love to go to Doggy Day Camp during the day. He is a bundle of energy so he would do best with a yard where he can play fetch with you or take long walks to burn off excess energy.
