| Jingles is a 1 1/2 - 2 year old Black Lab mix. She weighs about 75 lbs. Jingles was rescued around last Christmas. Animal Control had labeled her as mean and vicious dog. That label couldn't have been further from the truth. Jingles was a feral dog, meaning she was born and lived on the streets. Therefore, she is still shy and guarded around new people, but once she is around a person for a bit she quickly warms up. Initially, like many feral dogs, Jingles could not be put on leash. She is now learning to walk on a leash. She is completely housetrained, but cannot be crated. She will soon begin basic obedience training and already knows "sit". Jingles is the Will Rogers of the canine world, in that she has never met another dog she doesn't like. Jingles would do best in home with another dog to show her the ropes. Small children do make her a little nervous, though. Jingles has made the transition from a feral street dog and is now ready for her forever home. | |||
