A Very Special New Year For A Dog Who Was Dying

Imagine man’s best friend having to find shelter and give birth in brutal temps. Now imagine that the same dog being very injured ,sick, laying on a mound of dead puppies thinking she is keeping them warm and you have one our latest rescues- Fabreeze.

Fabreeze was fortunate enough to make friends with a black dog that we always help care for that does actually have a home. She would sneak into his yard often and they quickly became friends.  Unfortunately she always ran when she saw any of us and we couldn’t tell just how injured she was or pregnant until now, the day she couldn’t leave her playmate’s doghouse that we had stuffed with straw.

Inside the doghouse was 5 frozen to death pups, 1 still a live (named Renuzit) and one very sick girl.

She is safe with us now and so is her pup.  She also is very loving and kind. Someone did this to her neck (embedded collar) and it makes me just sick to know she had to endure this pain.
