McKenna and Cain, Their Plight

It took a full week just to catch her and what made it even worst was we knew time was of the essence.  The CSB (Citizen's Bureau Report from the City) read "Black dog on Lotus with intestines hanging out".

Every day we went looking and everyday someone would say she was just in this alley or that yard and it became so frustrating. While searching for her another dog kept appearing sporting an illegal wire around his neck, he too would just run off.

We set the trap in high hopes of getting both and it came apparent both dogs would have nothing to do with it. Again, frustration.

Finally yesterday there they both were christened McKenna and Cain. McKenna was dying and Cain died. She was sitting next to him.

McKenna had life saving surgery and is not out of the woods. Cain never experienced the love I wanted him to have so as we bagged him up, not to rot on the streets I apologized to him for being too late.

Send good vibes to McKenna and a prayer to Cain.

Thank you vet staff and Darrell, Jenn, and Donna for helping me find them, searching everyday with me, even in the rain downpours.

R.I.P Cain
