Patina and Daisy Adair

The sewer pipe pack is one of 4 large packs we are following. It is emotionally hard to watch so many dogs suffer and sometimes die but we are dedicated to saving as many as possible. On this cold winter day the pack was trying to sun in some high weeds. We dropped the food so they could eat but two of the dogs seemed especially starved this morning and one, Patina, was injured. With canned food and a trap, the first to be rescued was Patina. Patina is feral (or wild) and was very scared about being in the trap. Daisy Adair watched us load up Patina, she stayed close to the car and was still hungry. We did a first - open the trap and let the feral dog loose in the car so I could get Daisy also. It worked! It wasn't easy though and poor Patina was so scared she clung to the top of the trap in the car. Once we got to the Vet it was apparent Daisy is a lover who somehow ended up homeless and was surviving by being part of a pack. Patina needs our TLC and we are confident she will make an amazing companion animal. Help me see our adoptable Daisy go to her forever home soon and please fill free to apply for Patina. As she gets closer to being adoptable, we will give you updates (and visits to see her as well). We will keep you posted on this sad sewer pipe pack.
