| STUCKY'S RESCUE AND HIS "BROKEN LEG" PACK Next to a metro-link station is a pack of dogs we call the "broken leg" pack, as almost every dog in this pack of now 7, has a broken leg. I was broken hearted when I saw the suffering first hand and set a trap up that day in high hopes of rescuing at least one of these poor souls. It was wet and raining and the SUV got stuck in the mud for four hours but it must have been meant to be because as the tow truck was pulling out the car, we saw one of the pack being brave and getting closer to us - closer to the tow truck. With the trap set and baited, it was just a matter of minutes then in went the dog we now call, Stucky. Although scared and battered, he is safe at the shelter and allows us to pet him, but he's still too afraid to go for walks. That will change as Stray Rescue works its magic. We will be going back and try to save as many of his clan mates as possible before it is too late and they die. Stucky is a special dog and we will keep you updated on his progress of healing emotionally and physically. Randy |
