Stray Rescue in the Thanksgiving Day Parade - 2005
spacer
A group of 30 hearty Stray Rescue volunteers participated in the annual St. Louis Thanksgiving Day parade. Volunteers carried a Stray Rescue banner and held onto the only dog balloon in the parade. We so appreciate these volunteers who donated their time on Thanksgiving morning in order to remind the public about our efforts to save the homeless street dogs. They endured many hours in the cold outdoors and fought gusty winds while holding onto the balloon and banner. All had a great time and the public cheered as they passed by along the parade route. Although we couldn't throw candy to the kids, one volunteer thought to bring milk bones for those dogs sitting along the parade route.

Below are photos of the event, taken by Donna Lochmann.
