Thank you for choosing adoption today!
The first step is to complete an application. Please note, completing an application does not guarantee adoption. There are some cases where the applicant could be denied, or that particular animal could already have applications pending. Adopters must be 21 years old+.
Our process has changed due to COVID-19. Because of this, please be patient and kind to our staff as they diligently work through many applications and make perfect matches!
We have animals in our shelter and in foster homes.
For animals in foster homes: After we screen your application, we will send it to the foster family who will contact you directly. Please allow a few days for this to happen.
For animals in the shelter: After you fill out your application, you will be asked to make an appointment with our team of matchmakers.
Puppies and kittens under 6 months old are all in foster homes, not at the shelter. Puppies typically receive a lot of applications, and they are worked in the order they are received. The processing of your application could be held up if there is missing information (i.e. veterinarian or landlord information), so please make sure to answer questions as thoroughly as possible. FOR THOSE WHO RENT: Before we can proceed with your application, we MUST have landlord approval in writing. This approval must include any specific breed or size restrictions.
