Starving for food and love - Meet Bingham

Hasn't anyone EVER, in your whole life, ever shown you love?

Bingham is 8+ years old. Yes, he's been starving to death. He was so thirsty, he drank water for almost 10 minutes straight...but he's also starved for love and attention. He let everyone who came to meet him give him a kiss. We drew blood for testing and he was so kind and patient while we did all our poking. He is anemic due to malnutrition and has parasites. His bloodwork will need to improve before we can amputate his tail, the bone is sticking through. Right now he'll be on antibiotics and closely monitored when eating to avoid "refeeding syndrome." He also has heartworms.
