Hi! My name is Boss. Aren’t I handsome? I live with my foster parents and their boisterous dog, but I can’t wait to get adopted into my permanent home! My name is Boss, but I’m not bossy at all, in fact I am a gentle giant who really just wants to cuddle and hang out.
My foster parents think I would do well in almost any kind of home, as long as I live with people willing to dote on me. I am so gentle, I would be a great addition to a family with kids and I would be a great companion for someone just looking for a buddy. I absolutely love other dogs, and even though my dog-foster sister is quite energetic, I’m happy to let her zoom around me without making so much as a fuss. Really, I’m just a total sweetheart. My foster parents think I have such a great disposition that I would actually make an excellent therapy dog in the future. I’m a very good boy.
I do well in my crate and am potty trained, having had no accidents in my foster home thus far. I can sit on command and am very gentle when being handed treats. Unfortunately, when I arrived at Stray Rescue, I had a severely dislocated leg and had to have one of my front legs amputated; I’m still getting used to having only three legs, but I’ve been taking it like a champ. I am still working up to longer walks, but I’m getting there; I’m even able to walk up and down stairs! My foster parents are working on helping me build up my core strength and think in no time, I’ll be keeping up with the rest of the four legged pups!
I’d certainly love to meet you! If you’d like to meet me, fill out an application to arrange a visit!
PLEASE NOTE THAT BOSS IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
