Every summer, we rescue dogs with mange. Mange is tiny parasites that irritate the skin so it gets red, itchy, and miserable, then the dog starts losing their hair.
You are all familiar with Hemi, the 3 month old heartbreaker that came in July 24th.
Well, today we add another poor soul to our family! We named this little boy Chevy, and he’s in terrible shape. He’s a 2 year old male, just 36 pounds. He’s petite with long legs and is so scared. His hot, inflamed skin is covered in crusts and abrasions, he’s absolutely miserable. His skin is cracked and bleeding all over. Can you imagine being in his condition for even just one minute? We feel so bad for him. He was found under a bridge by Animal Control and brought here so we could give him the medical care and attention he needs.
Everyone, please help us welcome Chevy to the Stray Rescue family! We will not rest until he’s healthy with a beautiful shiny coat. He will feel joy again, we promise! And we plan to take you on his journey so you can be a part of it, too.
