"I’ve had 10 year old Coco as my office dog for about a month and we are now connected at the hip. Long walks are not in the picture for Coco, as her back end is very weak. However, she does love to peruse the yard and do her own little version of zoomies! She recently started to enjoy playing tug with blankets and she seems to get quite a kick out of walking in between my feet and watching me try not to trip and fall. Coco will need a home that is carpeted or has large throw rugs to help her grip the floor. Coco can move around quite well as long as she has good traction. Stairs are not an option for Coco unless you carry her and she is a little heavy.....but she loves to be picked up and hugged and squeezed.
Along with being a great companion for lounging around, Coco is great at communicating! She barks when she needs to go potty and when she knows it’s time for dinner. She likes soft treats and loves her Blue Buffalo half kibble/half wet meals. Coco will be best suited as a single dog; she seems to be reactive to other dogs and isn’t interested in making dog pals. She absolutely LOVES human attention and is sooo soft! If someone gives her a chance they will fall in love like I have. She is really looking for a special human to step up and love her for the rest of her life. She is sweet, spunky, happy, and SOOOO loving.
PLEASE NOTE THAT COCO IS AT OUR PINE STREET SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
