Animal Abuse doesn't take a Summer Vacation Part II
Sadly, we are adding another abused dog to the list already this summer. Meet Conn Smythe.

When you look at him, you feel a range of emotions, from raging anger to sheer heartbreak. He was living on a chain, attached to a dog house - or something you can barely even call a dog house. The smell of infection permeates the air around him, and when you lift his neck, you see the horror and pain he has been suffering. This deadly infection he has endured is at the hands of man.
We wish we could tell you that embedded chains and collars are uncommon, but that is not the case at all. We see it all the time, and yet it’s such an easy thing to prevent.
But dogs are considered property, and some people do not care about their property. They let it go until it becomes chaotic. Consmithe has endured needless suffering, but he is safe in Stray Rescue’s trauma center getting the help he so desperately needs. He will heal – both his neck and his soul. We will show him what love is, what kindness is, and teach him to have confidence.
Please donate to our Stracks Fund to help with Consmithe’s medical care. Your donation, of any amount, helps with much needed financial resources to keep our mission alive: To leave NO DOG behind.
