Crash gets a Second Chance
June 21, 2023 | 2:32pmDogs are the coolest beings on Earth and I am reminded of that every single day.
This old boy just joined our family. He has a painful broken jaw and is covered in scars - the telltale sign of living outdoors. He's had a long, hard life.
But he's a good old boy. His tail swings, his brown eyes sparkle, and he just wants to rub his head against you and plop in your lap. He's easy going, he's kind, and he's grateful. He seems to be made of sunshine and lights up a room. He had us completley smitten in minutes.
At 10 years old, he deserves big, cushy beds in every room of his house. Sadly, he'll never be able to lay and chew on a bone in the sunshine, but he doesn't seem to mind. He's just so happy that he's going to get that fairy tale life he's always dreamed about before it's too late.
There are no other signs pointing to a hit by a car or a gunshot, so some sort of blunt force or trauma broke his jaw. He will be on soft food for at least 4-6 weeks. We're thankful he will not need surgery, just some major TLC and lots of rest. He's also on pain medication and antibiotics.
Thank you to Window Depot USA of St. Louis for giving the first $500 toward Crash's medical care! We are so thankful for you!
Please give for Crash's healing journey here. If you can give him the comfiest of homes to heal in, we'd love to hear from you!
