The dogs that come to Stray Rescue are very unique and may need some extra love and socialization. This will enable them to thrive in a human environment and succeed in their forever home when it comes along. Foster parent’s help these dogs by providing a temporary home until the dog is ready for adoption and teaching them the necessary life skills to stay in their adoptive home. Taking one of these unique dogs into your home for a period of a few days, weeks, or months is a lifesaving gift to the dog. Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster parent.
To be considered as a foster parent, you must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have identification showing your current address
- Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable)
- Be able and willing to spend the time necessary to provide proper care for the dog
