Matching Mania Grant Giveaway 2026
Donations are matched Tuesday, July 28th!
Stray Rescue struggles financially when donations drastically drop during the most extreme weather – the scorching parts of summer and in the frigid parts of winter. This summer, as temperatures continue to rise, so does the need. Animal abuse doesn’t take a summer vacation.
This summer, we have welcomed 456 animals – and it’s only July! These animals are coming in with:
- broken legs, like Svetlana & Bumblebee – who actually came in with TWO broken legs!
- gunshot wounds, like Bixby and Burrata, both shot multiple times
- heartworm disease (it would be easier to list the dogs that DON’T have it)
- upper respiratory infections, like Creed and Omen
- mange, losing all of their hair, like Hemi
- lepto and jaundice, like Lemon & Lime
- hematomas, like the “hot dog” litter
- masses that need to be removed, like Pennie Pendulum
- broken jaws, like Buckminster
- prolapsed anus & prolapsed uterus, like Reuben Carter & Boiled Peanut
- open wounds, like American Honey
- critical emergencies, like Uncle Sammy
Our shelter is full, our clinic is full, donations are down, but the bills are still pouring in. So that’s why we’re launching “The Matching Mania Grant Giveaway!”
