St. Louis, Missouri (March 9, 2020) – As recovery efforts are underway in Nashville, Tennessee after horrific damage caused by tornadoes last week, The Nashville Humane Society is struggling to keep up with an abundance with intakes.
On Sunday March 8th, Stray Rescue’s Executive Director Cassady Caldwell was contacted with a plea for help. With hundreds of homes destroyed, many animals are displaced causing shelters in the area to run out of space. Locally owned pets are being helped through their foster program and are being reunited with families, but many pets have been surrendered by their owners.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis has agreed to help. “Our shelter is also full, but we know the St. Louis community is very generous and will help us help these dogs who need us. We will take as many as we can find loving foster homes for,” said Caldwell. “We will always lend a helping hand to our neighbors.”
We will transport the dogs in need to St. Louis this week and give them the second chance they deserve. All dogs are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and ready to go! Today, we ask you to sign up and help! Visit: Strayrescue.org/become-a-foster-parent.
Foster families are given all supplies they need. We provide all medical care, beds and blankets, a crate, toys, treats, and of course an entire team of caring staff members and other foster families for support! It costs nothing but patience, love, and care. All dogs will be put up for adoption as well.
I want to help!
I cannot foster at this time, but I still want to help these dogs by making a donation so the people who do foster get everything they need:
