Panda, the inspiration of the Panda Hospice Program, was such a wonderful girl. She was deaf and suffered from severe heartworms and neurological problems, but loved life and is now serving as an inspiration to us all. She lived the last days of her life as a very special member of Randy's household.
Become a Panda Hospice Fostering Parent
Stray Rescue's Panda Program is a Hospice program for dogs. You have the life-affirming honor of giving a terminally ill shelter dog a loving home for the last days of his life. All pets in this program have a limited time and are in need of caring, loving homes for a short period. They have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or may be very old or both. It is our hope for them that their remaining life will be filled with great love and dignity and not having to die alone. Quality of life is the most important part for us all, and together we can give these dogs a happy, safe and loving end of life.
To be considered as a foster parent, you must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have identification showing your current address
- Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable)
- Be able and willing to spend the time necessary to provide proper care for the dog
