Please join us on September 26th with a full heart for Remember Me Thursday. This beautiful, worldwide event brings animal lovers and advocates together to shine a light on and honor the millions of pets who lose their lives every year without ever having a loving home. Candles will be lit across the world on the same day, at the same time.
Here in St. Louis, we remember the neglected and abused animals we lost. A ceremony and candlelight vigil will be led by Reverand Nancy McGwire as we spread the ashes of those who fought so hard. As a no-kill shelter, death is hard on us. We will remember those we loved and prayed for, like Saint Natalia, Blue Butterfly, English Channel, Ted Drewe's, and others. They did their best to survive the mean streets, but either their wounds were too great or they got to us too late. We desperately hoped they would join our group of WARRIOR dogs, who beat the odds and went on to live happy, healthy lives. Please join us, join the movement, and help us remember them.
Date: Thursday, September 26th
Time: 7:30 pm, Sunset
Location: Benton Park, St. Louis, MO. We will meet at the bridge by the pond at the corner of Arsenal and Illinois.
We will provide a candle and glass of champagne for a toast. Your dogs are welcome to join us, and if you have ashes you would like to spread, you are welcome to do that as well.
