We gave an emergency freedom ride for this poor baby today. The wound on his back is absolutely horrifying and infected. We're getting him the help he needs. These tight, gauze bandages wrapped around Sir Chicklet are stuck to his infected wounds that go down his entire neck and back. It's really sad to think someone wrapped him up in this thinking it would help him?? We sedated him so we could clean them and there was so much dead skin underneath. We asked our…
We love WHO you are, the way you are. And we will help you Today we want to thank everyone who keep their eyes and ears open to help the voiceless. This dog, wounded and in pain, went up to a family begging for help. Shocked at his appearance, they loaded him in their car and rushed him to the nearest vet. Only they were turned away, we’re told, because he is a pitbull. They were sent home with pain meds. We’ve never heard of…
Highway rescues are the worst - so much can go wrong! You won't believe this video. He is appropriately named Dodge. All Donna asks is that you come to our event on Saturday night and if you're out of town, join virtually! @Stray Rescue's Urban Wanderers Art Show He drank an entire bucket of water when we got to Stray Rescue!! We swear he crossed the street and thought to himself....wait a minute, these people want to help me! I better go back!
Help us order a new ICU Monitor for our clinic and on-site trauma center! This machine monitors blood pressure, blood oxygenation, and heartrate of anesthetized patients. This will allow us to more accurately monitor surgery patients and critical patients so we can immediately address any problems like low blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias. This piece of equipment is expensive and costs $6,282. But a generous donor has offered to pay half of the cost! A huge thank you to Randy Morgan and Guild Mortgage! We…
This poor baby came in with a broken leg that has become badly infected. His leg and paw are SO swollen! His poor little leg! He feels awful. We named this handsome boy Apuesto and will do all we can to heal him, thanks to you who help us save the city’s most vulnerable. Good Morning, from our sweet angel boy Apuesto. He has a splint on his leg and is on antibiotics. Unfortunately we can’t do advanced treatment on his leg because it is…
One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure We've learned time and time again that one man's trash is another man's treasure. And this is a prime example. If you have never been to a landfill it can be a very eye opening experience. Dump trucks, large, loud mechanical equipment and trash for as far as you can see. There are flies everywhere and the smell can be overwhelming. Landfills are a necessity, but they are definitely not a place where puppies should call "home."I followed…
Duke of Hamilton Today is National Rescue Dog Day and...we've been rescuing dogs all day. Meet Duke of Hamilton who joined our family. This poor love. He has been shot in the FACE. He has multiple fragments in both sides of his jaw. Because of the multiple breaks, he'll have to have a specialty surgery to stabilize his jaw. Who could shoot an angel of a dog like Duke, we just don't know. He just wants us to hold him, to hug him. If you'd…
