How did Second Chances Resale Shop come to be?
Our CEO, Cassady Caldwell, saw potential in our empty warehouse — and transformed it into Second Chances Resale Shop. Every purchase helps support the Stracks Fund at Stray Rescue of St. Louis, which provides care for animals in need of medical attention. Donating home decor, small furniture, art, or treasures during your next cleanout? We’d be honored to give them a second chance! Stop by often because the shop will never look the same twice. Most items are one-of-a-kind and once they're gone, they're gone! We will NOT take any large furniture, mattresses, or clothes/shoes.
Local artists & jewelry makers — we’d love to feature your handmade pieces too.
The only things we will NOT accept due to the size of our shop:

- Mattresses
- Large Furniture
*All donations must be dropped off, we cannot pick up items.*
Because Second Chances Resale Shop by Stray Rescue of St. Louis sells items to support our programs, we cannot accept donated items that we cannot sell. Please do not donate items that are ripped, stained, broken, missing parts, or otherwise unusable or in need of repair. All electronics and appliances should be less than 10 years old and in working order. A good rule of thumb is “Would I give this to a neighbor?”

It's a great way to help the dogs in need and our mission without having to walk big, strong dogs. We do not accept volunteers under 18 years old, but this is a great opportunity to volunteer with your kids, too.
