Hello. My name is Sitter, and I am a six year old Setter-mix. I have lived with my foster Dad for 3 years but now I'm ready to look for a forever home. I have LOTS of energy and would love for my people to have the same. One of my favorite things to do is play ball. I would play ball all day every day if I could. Even in the rain and snow and sleet. I would love a big back yard to play ball in. I also like to take walks in the park. I do very well on the leash, although when I see a squirrel or rabbit or duck I really want to go and get it. I am housebroken although sometimes I do wet the bed when I sleep. My foster Dad gives me medicine that helps though, and I really only wet the bed if I haven't seen my people for a long time. Another thing I love to do is snuggle and give kisses. I think after playing ball, snuggling and giving kisses are my favorite things. I have started crate training, just to help and keep me safe at night. I love meeting new people, especially people who want to play ball with me! I can sit, wait and touch hands for treats, but tend to be grabby with them. I can also sit and wait for my food. I also LOVE to help my foster Dad cook. He lets me clean the bar-b-que pit all the time.
I have lived with other dogs, but I choose my canine friends carefully. I also don't like a lot of dogs getting up in my face. I have never met a cat and am not sure around little kids. Older kids are okay, though.
I have loved my time with my foster Dad, but now I know it's time for me to find a forever home where I can play ball and help cook and then snuggle at the end of good hard play.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SITTER IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
