Starving Dog’s Face Disfigured From Gunshot:Stray Rescue is asking the community for helpJuly 18, 2016 | 4:05pm
It is rare that I cry during a rescue, but today I did. In fact, my eyes are still full of tears as I write this. I named the dog Nickels, and he will need your prayers. He was starved almost to death and was shot in the face at point blank range. Half of his muzzle is gone. That is what makes me cry; knowing this gentle soul lived through torture at the hands of man and now is fighting to live. I told him he is loved, and I am with you all the way until you're well. I love all of them, but this one filled me with such sadness and got me to the core of my heart.

Today my healthiest rescue, Dizzy Gillespie, has a broken growth plate. Saint Gabriel has torn up ears and a skinny body. Mamasita is starved and mangy with her 3 puppies. And then Nickels who's a walking heartbreak…..it is never ending. The summer heat made my emotions hurt even more for Nickels. I'm emotionally drained.
I can't stress enough how important it is to give during our matching grant. You are directly saving the lives of Nickels and so many others. This matching grant is the life saver for these kids I just saved. I need you, and more importantly they need you!
Double you donor dollar now, and help me save their lives.
Love and with a heavy heart, Randy
