Tide is very loyal and a dedicated snuggler, and once he gets to know someone they become a friend for life. He needs to be introduced properly (usually a short walk or a quick sniff outside), but generally if you're happy to see him, he is too. He likes toys, and can entertain himself for hours chewing on a ball or playing tug of war.
He's crate trained; often he puts himself to bed once he decides to call it a night. Even though he can act like a big lug, he's very smart, and knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake and high five. He's also learned the "leave it" command well, and that usually is enough to recenter his attention if he fixates on something. He's also very good at loose leash walking.
Tide would do best in a home where he's the only pet and adults only.
