A little about Vaughn. Most importantly ..... He is now potty trained!! :)
He does stay in his kennel when we are gone for work and at night (not sure if you would call it kennel trained, since it takes a small bribe to get him in haha)
He loves people and attention, but is not an "in your face" type of dog (unless he wants to play and then he is relentless doing anything he can to get you playing with him), he is happy laying at your feet at night but will follow you around the house. He gets along great with our 8 year old, 4 year old visitors we had at our house and our 10 year old blind boston terrier (even though the Boston is not a very big fan of him and has snapped at him a few times, Vaughn hasnt responded)
He loves to play....all day!!! He also loves his nylabones...and raquetballs....and frizbees...and tug of war....and baseballs...and water bottles. He will literally play with anything.
He rides well in a car (although he does try to get in front with us from time to time). He enjoyed hiking with us. You can definitely tell he grew up outside as he loves just sitting out in the sun watching the world go by.
He is not food or toy aggressive (I think he would do great in a house that had another dog for him to play with, but I cant confirm this as I have no other dog for him to play with and mine is too grumpy :) ).
He is not scared of loud noises/storms. He also knows the sit command and we are working on leash training ( he has greatly improved since we got him).
If I could describe him in one word it would be "Happy". When I see him at 4 am tail wagging in his kennel as I'm barely able to see I always think of the song "because I'm happy" as he seems to always be enjoying life...every minute of every day.
PLEASE NOTE THAT VAUGHN IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
